SmartSense is a small wireless multi-sensor module designed for a plethora of IoT applications today. It combines TDK’s best technology including an inertial measurement unit, magnetometer, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, ultrasonic sensor, passive components, and high-precision algorithms to create a one-size-fits-all solution for IoT applications.
From a simple door to an industrial robot, this out-of-the-box sensor solution from TDK can be used to monitor “anything” accurately and remotely via BLE and WiFi. The module also provides autonomous SD card logging for applications that require lots of data to derive real value. Stick the module to any object to be monitored and you not only get accurate data from TDK’s sensors but also meaningful insights from its algorithms.
A unique feature of this module is the provision of IoT sensor algorithm outputs with customized tuning parameters. Some popular IoT algorithms currently covered by the module include door open/close, dynamic heading of a robotic vacuum, asset monitoring, patient activity monitoring, HVAC filter monitoring, and air mouse monitoring.

Out of Box Solution:
No soldering, programming or any mechanical modification needed. Use the module “out of box” and get meaningful sensor data wirelessly.
No on/off switch for turning the module on/off. Uses IMU’s LP Wake on Motion feature to wake up the module and starts wireless broadcasting. The module turns off when there is no motion and an established connection with the host.
