InvenSense’s 3-axis gyroscope family of parts is suitable for applications where a high performance angular motion sensor is needed. These sensors support a wide range of applications from Motion UI, Sports, to Image Stabilization. The family includes parts with on-board FIFO and a secondary I2C interface to support external sensors such as an accelerometer and compass.

  • Embedded Digital Motion Processing™ (DMP™) engine supports the 3D MotionProcessing Platform. When used with a digital 3-axis third party accelerometer, the IMU collects the accelerometer data via a dedicated interface, while synchronizing data sampling at a user defined rate. The total data set obtained by the IMU-3000 includes 3-axis gyroscope data, 3-axis accelerometer data, and temperature data.
  • 512-Byte FIFO buffers complete data set, reducing timing requirements on the system processor and saving power by enabling the processor to burst read the FIFO data, and then enter into a low-power sleep mode while the IMU collects more data.
  • VDD analog supply voltage range of 2.1V to 3.6V
  • Flexible VLOGIC reference voltage allows for I2C interface voltages from 1.71V to VDD
