InvenSense Adds Two Seasoned Executives to Management Team
Strengthening Company Management Team Positions InvenSense for Market Leadership
in Motion Sensing Products for Consumer Electronics
Santa Clara, Calif., July 5, 2007 – InvenSense, Inc. (www.invensense.com), the leading provider of integrated motion sensing solutions for mobile consumer electronics, today announced two new appointments to the company’s executive team. InvenSense named Dr. Ram Krishnan as vice president of operations and Mr. Joseph Jiang as vice president of marketing. These appointments are in line with the company’s direction for strengthening its executive team. Earlier in the year, Dan Goehl was promoted from director of sales to vice president of world wide sales.
InvenSense’s integrated dual-axis gyroscope (IDG) product families are being quickly adopted in many mobile consumer electronics due to their low-cost, low-power and small size for a wide range of applications including digital cameras, camera phones and smart phones, 3D input devices, remote controllers and portable navigation devices.
Krishnan joined InvenSense in April as vice president of operations. He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge attained working at Avago, and Agilent where he was serving as the vice president and division general manager responsible for $250 million in annual revenue. His 30 years of cross-functional experience in manufacturing, quality, marketing and general management will be a great asset to help InvenSense position itself for rapid growth. In addition, Dr. Krishnan has also served as an executive at several startups as vice president of operations at LuxN and Bloom Energy. Much of his career has been involved in developing and manufacturing high-volume products including sensors, fiber optic transceivers and fuel cells for very demanding applications.
Jiang joined InvenSense in June as vice president of marketing. Previous to InvenSense, he was the founder and CEO of Mobilic Technology Corporation where his multimedia chips successfully penetrated the mobile phone markets. Prior to that, he was vice president of marketing and sales at IC Media Technology, a pioneering company in CMOS image sensors where he successfully led IC Media’s worldwide marketing and sales team to achieve design wins at leading digital and PC cameras and camera phone module makers in China and Taiwan. Jiang brings over 20 years of senior management experience in marketing and sales in the semiconductor industry. Previous management stints were at companies including NeoParadigm Labs, Applied Materials and Cadence Design Systems, where he successfully defined and launched many market leading products.
