Senior MEMS Technology Engineer (Job ID: #12005)

Desired Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will be part of the InvenSense MEMS R&D team responsible for technology development leading to identification and support InvenSense’s next generation products. This position requires in-depth knowledge of MEMS technology including fab, design, and characterization. The candidate should possess expertise in at least one of the following technologies: resonators, microphones, microspeakers, switches, filters, bio/chemical sensors, microfluidics or displays. Preferences will be toward those who possess direct experience in the development of MEMS products. Job responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• New technology platform development
• Leadership role for product/device development in new technology platform. E.g. first silicon proof of concept, validation/characterization with full comprehension of test parameters and product functionality, yield improvement, and support new product qualification
• Adjacent technology assessment for future products and develop any required process enhancements
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• MSEE, MSME, MS Physics, or higher
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience or education equivalent
• Strong engineering background in process, design, and product characterization
• Direct contribution in technologies leading to products through critical thinking, good problem solving skills and demonstrated innovation
• Experience with MEMS layout and device characterization
• Hands on experience with MEMS fabrication and good understanding of processing and metrology equipment – capabilities and limitations
• Experience with foundries
