ITG-3200™ from InvenSense™ Named Electron D’or Award Winner by Electroniques Magazine in France

Award Recognizes 3-Axis MEMS Gyro Motion Processing Innovation in Sensor Category

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 18, 2010 – InvenSense, Inc., a leading provider of intelligent motion processing solutions that enable a motion-based user interface for consumer electronics, today announced that the ITG-3200™ 3-axis MEMS gyroscope has won the Electron d’Or 2010 Award in the sensor category from ElectroniqueS Magazine in France. The award acknowledges the ITG-3200 as a first-of-its-kind MotionProcessing™ innovation available in the market. Now in its 12th year, the Electron d’Or Awards recognizes leading technology products in 11 categories, with the winner in each category chosen by an independent panel of experts from the world of business and research and recognized for excellence in their field.

“We are honored that the ITG-3200 has been recognized with the Electron d’Or 2010 Award by this premier French technology publication and appreciate the validation it provides for our innovations in motion processing in the global market,” said Steven Nasiri, founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at InvenSense. “Our engineering team deserves the praise for their hard work and commitment to delivering worlds-first, market leading solutions for consumer products that provide a natural motion experience.”

The ITG-3200 is the world’s first single-chip, digital-output, 3-axis MEMS motion processing gyroscope optimized for gaming, 3D mice, and motion-based remote control applications for internet connected digital televisions and set-top boxes. The ITG-3200 features three 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) for digitizing the gyro outputs, a user-selectable internal low-pass filter bandwidth, and a fast-mode I²C (400kHz) interface. Additional features include an embedded temperature sensor and a 2% accurate internal oscillator. A breakthrough in MEMS motion processing, the gyroscope technology provides a 60% package size reduction, a 60% power reduction and inherent cost advantages compared to competing multi-chip gyro solutions.
